Unmotivated Post Title

Oh, I guess it's been long enough. I've been feeling rather unmotivated to take pictures as of late. Not saying I haven't but, as you'll see, the pictures are amazingly unmotivated: from front porches, through car windows. Pretty boring. Took some pics of the Easter eggs we decorated tonight, but I'm feeling unmotivated to even upload them. I'll get to them sometime soon.

Morning sky. This was actually on my first day of work. Amazing, the things you see if you get up before noon.
Same day. On the drive to work. Not safe to be taking pictures while driving...
Same same. Hualalai - one of the lesser photographed mountains.
Kahalu'u Beach Park - Went snorkeling with some of the friends.
Kahalu'u Beach Park
Cute kid playing with the shower. His arms were just long enough to push the button and not get wet, so he'd push it and try and turn around quick enough to see the water showering down.
I was wondering why the snorkeling wasn't as good as I remembered it to be, and then I saw this dude throwing his net.
That's all folks!

Fun.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We planned a game night with some of the friends for last night without realizing it was St. Patty's today, so we whipped up some last minute decorations for the festivities. Good times with good people, bummed I didn't get a picture of everyone.

I guess I have to thank Mr. Bernie for not having to wear green today, since I bleed green and gold :-]  When we were browsing through Target I realized the colors of Ireland are the same colors of my high school. I don't know why I just told you that. I actually have NO IDEA why we celebrate St. Patrick's day....

Thanks Google...interesting to learn about the shamrock [Patrick used it to explain the Trinity]. While I'm in no way, and have nothing, invested in Mr. Patrick, it's kind of a shame how a holiday to honor and remember a saint is now celebrated with partying and drunkenness. Oh well...

A Combination of Words

Not much to share. Just a few pictures from the past week or so. We've been having some pretty emo weather here; beautiful one day and outrageously bad the next. Keeps things exciting.

Mauna Kea from the backyard.
Flash flood warnings for the backyard.
Kawena saved some of the hail in the freezer.
I've been feeling under the weather and all I want to eat are cookies and fried foods. I've been able to avoid fried foods but cookies have an evil way of finding a way into my mouth. Oh well...

A beautiful simpleton that can be molded like Jello. Or cookie dough.
Or play-doh.
Any kind of dough.
I guess I made up for it by deciding to do the Run For Hops 10k without having seriously worked out since getting here. I think I've gone running twice in three weeks, so I was quite surprised by my 8:18 pace. Baby stuff for most people, but did I mention how much I dislike running?

Ummm...okay here are some other random pictures.

Trying to grow a pineapple. I can expect fruit in 2-3 years.

That's all folks!

KiKiana's Blog

HERE is the link to my niece, Kiana's newest photography blog. She only has one post so far, but I think if we bug her enough she'll get to work.

No real pics to post. I started feeling sick about a day after I got back home, so I've been enjoying the company of Suzette Collins as I read through her trilogy.

I guess I should also note that I ate the sashimi while I was sick, and therefore no correlation exists lol. I don't know why I feel like I need to defend raw fish but I know it gets a bad rap simply because it's different. Not everyone loves it like I do and not everyone needs to, but I think one should at least try it before saying it's gross because otherwise, you don't really know.

Just a few books I've been reading lately...
...and I cut a piece of sashimi that looked quite similar to Oahu.
